(You can only appreciate this fry pic if you have tried doing it yourself)

  • Nice shots. I like the 3rd and 4th the most.

I always have trouble trying to get good aquarium shots.

  • I like that vibrant green on the second to last picture. Now is fry that strange looking bug-like thing? I don't have fish so I wouldn't know.

  • Hi again, Michael.

Just a word of advice: it is easier for the viewer to look at your photos when you put spaces between each picture and give them numbers.

Now you have some beautiful fish in your tank at home!
What is the difficulty of photographing fry?

I must like the many green plants in the last but one photo here! It is in my nature to like it!

Again I would suggest you test out NeatImage to get rid of some of the noise you got out of using high ISO.

  • Nice work, I'm impressed! I agree about the spaces between the photos (& the numbers). Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks for sharing!

  • nice pics, I may have to try shooting my fish, although I only have 3 at the moment because I encountered a nasty disease about 2 months ago. I can definatley say I probably wouldn't even try to shoot fry, kudos to you!

  • Nice blue ram, a female by the looks of it? Maybe i'll try to snap some of mine...

  • The green is bright in these plants! :) Nice work for difficult shooting. That bird looks fake.

  • "Now is fry that strange looking bug-like thing?"

The fry is in picture #2. The bug-like thing was problably the shrimp.

"What is the difficulty of photographing fry?"

They are quite small (under 1cm.), and they move around in fast, jumpy bolts. This means you have to have a fast shutter speed and excellent skills at focusing your camera very quickly. The fast shutter speed makes lighting problems, and you can't use a flash, or you risk damaging their little eyes.

I think I forgot to mention I am shooting with a point and shoot camera. It's a Olympus Stylus 600. It makes photography fun with shots like that.

Trust me, that bird is more than real.
