In a Biblical context, of course.I've wondered that very thing my entire life.If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior, He paid it all. There are consequences to everyone's actions and sadly, they reflect on all of us.You do not. Just your ownIt is good to atone and pray for others.
We follow Jesus and he himself taught us to do this.
Some don't know they are in danger of loosing their soul's,so I as a Christian pray that God will have mercy on those that mock his holy name. It is called Brotherly Love. That's life. If a woman was a heavy drinker when she was pregnant, will the baby have to pay for her mistake? More than likely.
If a smoker goes to sleep with a cigarette in his hand and it causes a fire that destroys his house and kiis everyone in it, do the innocent have to pay for his mistake? Yes.
If a football player gets caught breaking a rule, is he the only one who gets penalized? No. The whole team is affected.
When Adam and Eve sinned against Jehovah, they brought on sin and death for themselves and their future offspring. As Ro. 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned."you don't if you accept salvation. We are all a part of the body of Christ. When a part of the body suffers, the rest of the body suffers. When a part of the body experiences joy, the rest does also. I am curious, where did you hear that you have to pay for others mistakes. You don't. Everyone is accountable for themselves. Besides Jesus died for our sins.because of one greedy, selfish person that was in the garden. He is under our feet. greater is He that is in me that he that is in the world.
thank God!So that christians can continue to poke their dirty little noses in other peoples private lifes.WHAT?? you dont...we all die for our own sins....GET right with your maker if you want another life!Gee, thanks dude! Now I don't have to pay for that speeding ticket I got last weekYou are not "paying for mistakes", you have contracted a mortal virus.
Romans 5:12
...just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned."
Lucky for you there is a antidote.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. You don't, original sin is a false concept. The Mormons believe that men will be punished for their own sins. Good thing we're right, or else that would suck.in a biblical context each one is accountable for his own free agency choices.
you don't, not in the eternal sense. You are acountable for what you were responsible (able to respond) for.Because no sin is done in isolation. Any sin you commit affects other people. A sin committed by your parents, siblings, or cousins could affect you. You might even be affected by the sin of a total stranger. (Remember 9/ll? How many of those victims knew their attackers?)
Just one more reason why we should all be more careful of how we conduct our lives.because we are decedents of crazy adam and eve. they messed up everything for us and for SOME crazy reason, WE have to pay for it. its not fair on so many levels. but i guess it was meant to happen. or else we would never need God for things. You are biblically incorrect, sorry.
In another context you may have merit. If you have a child who damages property for example, you may be held accountable for damages.
God will not hold you responsible for anyone but you. Get busy.
Great question! I have wondered the same thing. When I had to "pay" I realized I also had the power to change the outcome of the situation to a positive one. There are a lot of positive aspects to "paying" for something, I have found in my experience. I know there are negative aspects as well and those can be very difficult to get through and often cost us something dear--but in the end realize there is always a positive that comes from a negitive you just have to be open to see it and willing to accept it.You don't, Jesus took it for you all you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart and all your sins will be forgiven. Then, serve Him the rest of your live. Include Him in your decision making and develope a personal relationship with Him, because He fist loved you.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Ro 5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man (adam)sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
1jo 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1jo 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
Well, that's the Roman Catholic take on it....
Orthodox Christians believe that though we have inherited the consequences of Adam and Eve's disobedience, (i.e., we get sick, we die,) still we have not inherited their guilt. The analogy of a genetic fault is actually a very good one;although, it does carry to all the descendants (and thus, they suffer from it) still, they cannot be blaimed for it, neither they are responsible.
To pray for those who do wrong is what must be done as it says in the
Bible there is a special for those who prayy does it matter when u die your goin someplace better (hopefully)You don't if you can change the way things have been handled previously by other people. And Jesus paid for all of us. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
