when ever i'm testing a new build i run it up in the 'apps' folder, then if all is well i clear out my c: drive and move it over. how ever on todays build all works but the network button in the settings menu, i select it and nothing happens. will i have to move it to my c: partision for this to work?re-built twice on 02 no joy, build 03-09-2004 working fine now!
this thing is realy coming of age now, i like all the video modes very helpfull with some of these pop corn downloadsthanks for the quick reply! still trying to get my head around how this cvs thing works!that is what i thought!
do you know what .xml file i am missing and why i might be missing it, my cvs checkout is running correctly!
update! just checked, settingsnetwork.xml is there so why....hmmmm!howcome the wins server information is not obtained by dhcp, and samba settings not set right in xbmc?
if you're going to implement network functionality right into xmbc, might as well go all the way no? :)cheesy have you built xbmctex? you need it to create the textures file thats used by the skinning engine. look at the build.bat file.you mustn't have quite all the skin files then, i'd suggest. it will work fine no matter where you have it installed. if it doesn't work in your e:\apps folder, it won't work in c:\
as this was only just added a few hours ago, perhaps the skin files haven't all come through to anonymous cvs?good things take time (isn't that a cheese ad?)just tried the latest download from chokemaniac's web site and put it in my builds skin folder, and when i switch to it, it hasn't even got the network setting?
:nuts:yes i have built xbmctex, but i find just copying over the textures.xpr from the cvs folder works as i thought it had already been compressed by chokemaniac!
i thought the uncompressed .png files where there for one to fuck about with and re squish, am i wrong?the network stuff wasn't added by chokeman, so his site may not be updated.
cvs is always the most up to date. any changes chokeman makes go into cvs.
it's the .xml files you're missing, not the textures, as i don't think there were any new textures added for the networking stuff.hmm - not sure. you need 4 new network .xml files iirc.
you probably just need to delete all the .xml files on your xbox and reupload them all - some of them may be missing.
the other option is that you are missing the codeside changes - try reuploading the .xbe#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
