Track naming template and playlists

January 7th, 2009 by cfz
  • Hi.

    Running T3CH 17-06-06 as dash.

I've set my track naming template to (%N) - %A - %T, because I thought it'd look cooler to have the track number in brackets. It does. But now my playlists are all named "("
    (without the quotes)
    When I set the template to %N) - %A - %T all is well...
Maybe my version is too old, but this is probably not supposed to happen? Or isn't it possible to get this consistent due to something else?

    TIA

  • Just a wild guess, but JM patched it earlier today, so using a build from 22 AUG won't do much for you. You'll either have to compile your own build or wait for the next T3CH to come out to see a difference.

  • Pretty sure I've fixed it. Will check shortly with your labelling.

Do you use playlists as folders (the default in CVS)?

    Cheers,
    Jonathan

  • oh, one more thing: the actual m3u files don't get renamed or anything, they're just displayed as an opening bracket in the playlists bookmark.

  • Upgraded, and it still happens.
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

  • No I don't.
Will upgrade today to T3CH 22-8 and recheck as well.

  • Duly noted.
I just though he meant he had fixed it before and was kind of surprised to see I still encountered it.

    I'll wait then. ;)

  • WeirdH: In the meantime, switch to using playlists as folders.

It's a much nicer method of navigation + it won't have this (slightly) annoying issue.

    Cheers,
    Jonathan
